REQUIREMENTS :

An suitable acknowledged 3-year bachelors Degree/Diploma in Forestry or any
other applicable qualification couples with 3-5 years with applicable ride in
Management. Knowledge in legislation of herbal resources. Knowledge of
National Forests Act, 1998 and National Environmental Management Act, 107
of 1998. Knowledge of Environmental Legislation and insurance policies impacting on
the forestry sector. Knowledge of authorities administrative procedures
(PFMA and treasury regulations). Skills: Leadership and management;
Strategic thinking; Analytical thinking; Conceptual; Problem solving; Process
design; Expert degree of pc literacy and Communication, particularly in
writing skills. Ability to accumulate and analyse information. Ability to work
individually and in a team. Ability to interpret rules and develop
appropriate policy. Ability to work beneath excessive pressure. Articulate; Multitasking; Creativity; Service oriented and Self-supervision.

DUTIES :

Develop policies, norms, standards, tools, and processes for sustainable
management of indigenous forests and woodlands. Provide enter in the
development of scientific wooded area administration guidelines, norms, high-quality practice
and help to the areas and key stakeholders. Provide enter in the
development of minimal criteria, indicators, and requirements for sustainable
management of indigenous forests. Monitor and examine the overall performance of the
regions towards criteria, warning signs and standard. Support the improvement of
national and regional techniques and programmes for sustainable management
of woodlands and indigenous forests. Provide technical inputs to national
legislation/policies. Support the implementation of policies, techniques and
programmes. Advise stakeholders (internal and external) on policies,
protocols, guidelines and hints and draft policies. Conduct conservation
planning and compliance with countrywide and worldwide biodiversity
management frameworks. Participate in the identification of precedence forests for
protection and rehabilitation. Develop, preserve and display the
implementation of administration plans for State forests. Provide technical
inputs in the evaluate of blanketed tree list. Develop technical structures and
decision-support equipment to assist the implementation of the National Forest Act.
Support the implementation of rehabilitation programmes for degraded natural
forests and woodlands. Conduct ecological woodland monitoring and research.
Conduct the Principle, Criteria, Indicators and Standards (PCI&S) audits.
